In with yet another collection of fills from the 3 Sentence Ficathon. It'll be ending on Jan 31, so I'm not expecting to make another post unless some new prompts pop up that I can't resist.

For the first fill, it was an your choice for fandom and pairing, so I picked Ancient Magus Bride and the prompt was imaginary characters. For the second, it was another your choice, so I picked Labyrinth and Jareth/Sarah, the prompt being And we dance while the sky crashes down. With another choice, the third fill was Ancient Magus Bride with some Chise+Ruth, the prompt was snow day. For the fourth, I chose to do Deltarune and Kris, Ralsei, and Susie, the prompt being the skulls of your enemies are not trending decor. The fifth one is another your choice and I picked Undertale and the prompt was for want of a nail... The sixth one I chose to do Revolutionary Girl Utena and the prompt was "If there's nothing missing in my life, Then why do these tears come at night? Lucky by Britney Spears". For the last one, I picked Deltarune, Rouxls Kaard+Lancer and the prompt was spectacularly poor choice for an emotional support animal.

Chise knows better than to mention the things she sees at the corners of her vision; her parents drilled it into her, that she was only to mention it to them, so Papa could scare them away. But even then, her aunts, uncles, and cousins never understand or see the things that creep in shadows or steal her food or scratch-scratch-scratch her until she bleeds all over the blankets.

After awhile, she begins to wonder; are they really there, the beings she sees, or has she imagined it all?

(Some nights, she still wakes up and has to reach for Ruth's fur or Elias's arm, hold them tight in her grasp before she can breathe again because it was real, there are things in the shadows, she's not crazy, and with Ruth and Elias and even Silky here she is safe.)

Eons go by in heartbeats and despite a thousand beautiful dreams, the magic slips from the world, silent as autumn giving way to winter. The Labyrinth decays around them, brick by brick, even as they do their best to gather the last of the magical folk into this, the last realm of magic.

As the other inhabitants vanish into fairytales and legends, Sarah takes Jareth's hand in one last waltz.

What will happen to them as castle crumbles? Neither knows, but as long as they can hold on, they will keep dancing as the world falls down.

Never in her life has Chise ever seen the snow so high as now; the drifts are almost as high as the door and the only one who can shoulder said door open is Elias, who doesn't feel inclined to do so. So, lessons are inside today until the worst blizzard the county has seen in years finally subsides but still there's only so much Ruth can take before he and Chise manage to wrench open one of the upstairs windows and he leaps out it before vanishing straight down into an three meter tall snow drift.

Chise laughs to herself as her familiar races around in the snow, a shadow among the drifts, and wonders Fumiki, what would be doing right now if we were both here, snowed in together? But that, like so many other thoughts about what if one or more of her family members could be with her now, are only useless deadends, so she shakes her head, picks up the cup of hot chocolate Silky made for her, and goes back to watching Ruth have fun with a small smile on her lips.

"Hey, Kris, check this out," Susie says and the moment they and Ralsei turn to look at her, she holds up the stag headed enemy she just pummeled by his rack of antlers and smirks. "I use antlers in all of my decorating."

Huh, Kris thinks as Ralsei bleats in dismays and tries to shoo her away from her beaten foe, I didn't know Susie liked Disney movies.

1. In a kinder world, Asriel does not die--in that world, Chara puts aside vengeance and instead helps to find the souls of dying humans (in hospitals, in quiet, forgotten places of the world where humans die alone and forgotten) until they can break the Barrier. In that world, monsters go free and humans adjust to these strange new creatures. In that world, the King and Queen do not know grief and their children are happy, in a way.

It is a hollow world.

2. In a more just world, the war between humans and monsters never happened at all. Monsters are free, their numbers equal to humans, and humans and monsters alike are afraid of the inevitable clash. Chara and Asriel never meet and both are poorer for it.

It is a doomed world.

3. In another world, you never chose this route. You chose kindness and empathy and charity and all who meet you are better for it in the end. It is a world of grief and love alike, a more full world.

But this is not that world and it's all your fault.

Sometimes Utena forgets why she left Ohtori Academy (it was because there was a creepy administrator who kept perving on her, who didn't stop until she nearly broke his arm, and then the school insisted she had to leave, right?), but she doesn't let it bother her for long. Her aunt and her new uncle, her friends, her admirers, the school clubs (somehow, she got roped into student council, but it's weird--didn't student council members do more than organize dances and festivals?), all of it keeps her busy, and isn't it wonderful, to be so popular, so adored? And yet, there is a hole in her life, a strangely shaped hole that aches and aches, but she can't ever remember why it aches.

(And then, one day, a girl in a pink dress and a flowing mane appears on the horizon and she thinks oh, there you are as the hole slowly fills in.)

Rouxls Kaard is a great man, truly rising above the useless wretches of this Dark World, so it's no surprise that the new King has made him the Official Puzzle Maker, the Grandest Duke. But even for one so great as himself, he still bulks when the King's son, Lancer, grins up and introduces him to his best friend.

"A bicycle," he murmurs, glowering in his confusion, "that thoust hath set aflame is thous best friend?"

Lancer nods and the bike farts out a plume of flames, impressive since Rouxls is pretty sure it's literally just a long burning firecracker tucked into a tin can under the bike seat.

Suddenly, Rouxls thinks he realizes why there didn't appear to be much competition for this job before he got here.
